In 2024, the Doan Brook Watershed Partnership (DBWP) deepened its roots while preparing for future growth. With just two staff and over 250 volunteers contributing more than 2,300 hours, DBWP hosted 48 events that engaged nearly 1,000 citizens.
Highlights included Family Fishing Day, Take to the Lake, hikes, bike rides, rain barrel workshops, and extensive invasive species removal and native plantings. Restoration efforts advanced through projects like the Healthy Urban Tree Canopy Grant, Sunbeam Rain Garden, and Doan Brook Gorge restoration. DBWP also launched a robust water quality monitoring program at 15 sites.
Donors contributed over $23,000, supporting a lean, high-impact organization poised to expand its work through the newly completed 2025–2029 Strategic Plan. Read the report here.
