Biography
Emily Kao (KAY-oh) studied Environmental Science, Sustainability and Climate Change at Cornell University before moving to Cleveland to begin her career. Passionate about environmental justice and building community resilience in the face of anthropogenic climate change, Emily sees her work with the Doan Brook and its partners as part of the larger effort to restore native habitat, improve water quality, and empower communities throughout the region to build an ecologically healthy, resilient, and environmentally just Greater Cleveland. In her free time, you may find Emily hiking, cross country skiing, or tending to her vegetable garden with the help of her pet rabbit, Magnus.
